Spirit (Puma Spirit) is a 26 yo Kiger Horse gelding. He is a gorgeous buckskin with the sweetest of hearts. We were told that he was bred from the famous horse that inspired the DreamWorks animated film and Netflix series: Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron. We did his DNA to find out his breeds, but have not done an ancestry match yet.
In his riding career, Puma Spirit placed in many Cowboy dressage shows and barrel racing and has been on many trail riding adventures. Now he is a lovely, trusting companion horse. We just adore him! He is gentle, but clear about what makes him comfortable and where all his favorite scratching spots are!
We do need to find him the most special human to bring this beautiful boy into their heart and home and manage his special needs. Unfortunately, he is going blind. He can still see things close in daylight and wanders the pasture with another horse during the day, but needs to be in a safe space at night. He stays close to one of our mares here, but think he would be better with a gelding. He also has Cushings and some arthritis which are both managed with daily meds. Up to date on vaccinations, dental, deworming, farrier. Please consider this boy in your life and come meet him. You will fall in love with him, too!
