Meet Westley—known to all as Wes—a 17-year-old Quarter Horse Paint gelding, 15.2 hh, with a heart as big as his personality. Friendly, gentle, and trusting, Wes is the kind of horse who brightens every barn and pasture he enters.

​

Wes is a talented all-around horse, excelling in arena work, liberty exercises, and trail rides. Comfortable in both English and Western tack, he responds easily to body position and leg pressure, making him a joy to ride for someone who appreciates a smart, willing partner. Calm with children and sociable with other horses, dogs, cats, and even goats, Wes is truly a horse for all occasions.

He enjoys baths, hops readily into the trailer, and embraces every adventure with confidence and curiosity. Up to date on vaccinations, dental care, and farrier visits, he is shod in front due to slight navicular in his front right foot—but he moves comfortably with light riding and a little Equioxx support. Wes is also on a half dose of Prascend, which he tolerates beautifully, showing no signs of sluggishness.

In May, we took him on a trail ride, and he was simply perfect—strong, confident, and happy. His playful, bright personality shines whether he’s exploring a new trail, standing quietly for grooming, or enjoying the company of his equine and human friends.

 

We are thrilled to share that Wes has found his forever home in Penn Valley! He now lives on 12 acres with cows, chickens, dogs, peacocks, and soon-to-be a buddy gelding. He is enjoying a life full of love, companionship, and adventure—the perfect fit for such a wonderful boy.

 

Wes is a gentle, talented, and loving horse who captures hearts wherever he goes. Anyone lucky enough to meet him will fall in love immediately.
