To help Sundance Horse Rescue, Inc. (SHR) rehome your equine, please complete this form in full and sign the agreement at the bottom.
Upon surrender or placement in a new home, a monetary donation (amount to be discussed and agreed upon) is requested to help offset the costs of our rehoming program and support the ongoing care of horses currently in rescue.
Please have all relevant documentation available at the time your equine is delivered or picked up, including photos, videos, registration papers, and any medical or veterinary records.
Thank you for your interest in adopting one of our rescued horses. To be considered for adoption, applicants must:

Be at least 21 years of age

Have the knowledge and consent of all adults in the household

Provide a valid ID with a current legal residence address

Provide a landlord’s name and phone number (or a signed lease, if renting)

Have no felony or misdemeanor history involving animal or human abuse, neglect, or cruelty (this applies to all household members)
Please note that submission of an application does not guarantee adoption. All applications must be approved by SHR. Our priority is always the health, safety, and lifelong welfare of the horse, and we carefully match each horse with the home best suited to meet their needs.

Who Can Volunteer?

Minors 14–17 may volunteer with a parent or guardian present

If you are not looking for a horse of your own but want to help provide for care and rehabilitation of one of our horses, you can be their Sponsor.
Rescued horses often need expensive diagnostics, treatments, surgeries, and emergency care. Your monthly or annual sponsorship would help cover these costs and allow us to rescue and re-home more horses in need. Learn more about how to sponsor a horse.
