Sassafras has been adopted

Meet Sassafras—a 5-year-old Perlino mini horse with a creamy white coat, matching mane and tail, and striking blue eyes. She’s as picture-perfect as they come, but it’s her loving personality that truly makes her unforgettable.
Sassafras is the definition of an “in-your-pocket” horse. She adores attention, bonds closely with her people, and is gentle with children. She’s also wonderfully social, getting along well with other horses, as well as dogs, cats, and even goats. Whether you’re looking for a companion, a child’s first riding partner, or even a future carting mini, Sassafras has the potential to do it all.
She’s already begun her education and is proving to be a quick and willing learner. Groundwork and under-saddle introductions have gone beautifully. Obstacles like hula hoops, tarps, saddles, or even objects slipping off her back don’t faze her—she takes it all in stride with curiosity and trust. Sassafras is smart, brave, and eager to please, making her a joy to work with.
Like many confident young mares, Sassafras does have a bit of a bossy streak—but she’s learning her manners and is currently living with a mare who helps keep her grounded. She’s also improving her patience at feeding time, as she can get a little enthusiastic when food is involved. Outside of that, she integrates well with both mini and full-sized horses.
Sassafras is healthy, sound, and fully up to date on dental care, vaccinations, deworming, and farrier visits. She also tested negative for insulin resistance, giving her a strong foundation for a healthy future.
This special little mare is ready for a forever home where she can continue to grow, learn, and be loved. Sassafras has been adopted by a lovely family in Galt, CA. She joins many other mini horses, ponies and full size horses. She is adored by their 10 year old daughter.
