Cherry Pie’s Story

Meet Cherry Pie, a 20-year-old Bay Quarter Horse mare whose sweet and gentle personality makes her impossible not to love. Cherry Pie is an “in-your-pocket” horse who enjoys following you around, offering companionship and affection wherever she goes. While her riding history is unknown, she has found her true calling as a devoted companion, sharing love and calm presence with everyone around her.

Cherry Pie’s life took a sudden turn when her main caregiver passed away, leaving her in need of a new home. Tragically, she was scheduled for euthanasia if not rehomed by December 1, 2023. But thanks to Yvonne’s open heart, Cherry Pie was rescued just four days before that deadline—saving her life and giving her a second chance at happiness.

On November 26, Cherry Pie joined her forever home in Loma Rica, where she now shares 15 acres of grass and hills with another rescue mare, Savannah, along with goats, dogs, and endless love. The two mares hit it off instantly, forming a special bond from the very first meeting. Cherry Pie is safe, cherished, and finally living the peaceful, happy life she deserves.
