Savannah’s Story
Meet Savannah, a 15-year-old Paint mare whose heart is as big as her love for people. This sweet companion horse has a personality straight out of a storybook—think of a Golden Retriever in horse form. She adores being close to humans, often resting her head on your shoulder as you walk together, and would happily curl up in your lap if she could! Savannah thrives on attention, affection, and the comfort of being near those she trusts. She is especially wonderful with children and responds to gentle, kind handling.
Savannah’s right hip carries an old injury, possibly from birth or long ago, which means she is companion-only. But this doesn’t slow her down in the slightest—she is an incredibly devoted friend, happy to accompany you on walks, hang out in the pasture, or even help “hold” the mucking rake with a curious nuzzle!
On November 26, Savannah found her perfect forever home with Yvonne. She now shares 15 acres in Loma Rica with another rescue mare, Cherry Pie, along with goats and dogs, receiving love and care every day. Savannah will also touch the lives of Yvonne’s equine therapy clients, offering her gentle spirit to help heal and ground her human friends.
Savannah is the sweetest, most affectionate companion horse—you’ll instantly fall in love with her heart and devotion.
