Double Ott’s Story

Meet Double Ott, a 20-year-old Quarter Horse gelding whose gentle nature and talent make him a dream partner for riding and companionship. Sweet, kind, and respectful, Ott is a horse who excels both on the trail and at home. He responds beautifully to body and leg cues, opens gates, trailers calmly, and stands quietly for grooming, tacking, and mounting. He is the complete all-around horse—ready to share adventures and quiet moments alike.

Double Ott came to Sundance Horse Rescue when his previous owner could no longer care for him due to financial and time constraints. Despite these challenges, Ott has never lost his loving, easygoing spirit. He adores people and forms strong bonds with those who spend time with him, making him the perfect gentle riding companion.

Thanks to Melissa and Wes, Double Ott has found his forever home in Grass Valley. He now joins their other horse at their ranch, enjoying peaceful trail rides, open pastures, and plenty of love and attention.
