December 2021: Meet Cowboy! A 17 yo, 15.2 hh wonderful, gentle boy. Cowboy was one of two horses who came to us from a family that hit some hard times during this pandemic. The other horse needed extensive medical attention due to a fall down a hill resulting in a broken pelvis and Cowboy needed some healthy feed and vet, dental and farrier care. He is now healthy, happy and up to date on shots, worming, teeth float and barefoot trim.
We were told that Cowboy used to be a Sheriff's Posse horse which would lead us to believe he is fairly bomb proof. We are still assessing his ground and riding skills and will post updates on his training here. We expect him to excel in ground, arena and trail skills and to also be very non-spooky.
