Adopted!! February 2021
Poe has found his way back to familiar territory. He was adopted by the cousin of the original owner and will join some of his old buddies for gentle trail rides and grazing in the pastures. We are very happy for Poe and his new (old) home. Happy Trails!
February 2021: Meet Poe! A kind and gentle 18 yo Mustang gelding 15.2 hh. Poe is healthy, sound and rideable both in arena and on trails. Most recently he was being ridden by a teenage girl, but her family has moved and unfortunately could not take him with them.
Poe has been trained in natural horsemanship, is comfortable in both English and Western tack, has a lovely long stride, a soft mouth, neck reins and understands leg cues. He is smart and talented, so he would need an intermediate rider for the best experience with him. He is calm with children and animals. He likes people and especially, other horses. He would prefer to be with another horse in pasture and on rides.
Poe stands quiet for grooming, tacking, farrier and vet. He is up to date on worming and trims but will be due for his spring vaccinations in the next couple of months and a dental within the next 6-8 months.
Poe is an all-around solid and loving horse for riding and/or companionship. He would make a great partner to just about anyone. He is currently located in Grass Valley.
